Diwali Celebrations at Sai Samarpan

Sai Samarpan celebrated Diwali twice once on 20th October with the CLAPS special children and their parents and again on 25th October with the trainees and neighbours of Sai Samarpan.  On the 25th of October the Sai Samarpan  children hailing from economically weaker group were given new dresses by the Trustees. They fired crackers had dance programme and were provided with sweet packets provided by SBI.  The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children. We had our neighbour Mrs. Kavitha to distribute the sweets and new dresses to the children. A

URIADI SPORTS WITH KRISHNA JEYANTHI CELEBRATIONS 24TH AUG 19

Krishna Jeyanthi celebrations with Uriyadi sports was conducted at Sai Samarpan on the 24th of August wherein all Sai Samarpan special children participated alongwith  a few Special children and their parents from CLAPS an association of parents of special citizens who are closely associated with Sai Samarpan. They were entertained with Bhanjans and some children exhibited their talents with   music performance assisted with karoke by our Centre music master Sivaraman. This was followed with a musical chair event and followed by Uriyadi wherein every child got a chance to hit the Uriyadi panai and some succeeded in hitting them some in breaking them and there was real fun all around. All the invitees were provided with a sumptuous lunch hosted by the CLAPS parents

PATHANJALI GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATIONS 16th July 2019

The children of Sai Samarpan Vocational Training Centre were invited for participation in the cultural programme arranged by Chennai Pathanjali yoga group at Senghai Meenakshi Mahal on the Guru Purnima Day on the 16th of July 2019.

Five of our trainees gave performance on some yoga exercises and Shakthi Sivaraman gave two songs one on Guru Raghavendra “ Azhaikiran Madhavan” and won the hearts of all the audience. He also gave another song “Kanne Kalaimane” and there was a request for repeat performance of “Azhaikiran Madhavan” which he performed alongwith another music troupe who had also assembled there for participation in the Cultural programme.Nearly 500 invitees had attended the Guru purnima celebrations and all were provided a sumptuous lunch by the Pathanjali Yoga Group Chennai. Children were also provided with gift hampers by the Pathanjali Group.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY AT SAI SAMARPAN 7TH AUG 2019

Sai Ganesh Foundation Annual Sports Day was conducted on the 7th of August 2019 . The events were conducted by Dr.Radhika Bharath of Emerging Fit who is closely associated with our Trust since inception. The events were conducted at Sai Samarpan Premises and we had nearly 42 children participation in the Annual Sports Day events.

Shri.Gopi Ramakrishna of SCAN Group (Special Children Assistance Network) was invited alongwith his wife Mrs.Mini Ramakrishna (Also a Yoga teacher for Special children ) to preside over the function and participate in our celebrations. The children were from our Sai Samarpan vocational Training Centre, Prema Vasam an orphanage, Prema Illam a Home for girl special children and Government Institute for Mental Rehabilitation Tambaram Sanatorium.. Shri.S.Sridharan our Trustee gave the welcome address.

Dr. Radhikha Bharath made all the children individually and enthusiastically participate in the fun sports events specially designed to suit our special children In the end there  were music and dance events where not only the children but also the teachers assistants and the chief gusest joined and enthused the children.

Dr.Radhikha Bharath had arranged for gifts and medals for every participant child and Madam Anuradha from her team had arranged for attractive sweet packs for all the children. Sai Ganesh Foundation arranged for Participation Certificates for every child participating in the event and provided a sumptuous lunch for all the children, teachers, assistants and all  invitees including our  guests etc.The function came to end with Vote of Thanks by our Trustee Shri.V.Ranganathan.

73RD INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT SAI SAMARPAN

73rd Independence Day was celebrated at Sai Samarpan with the Special Children of Sai Samarpan and the Special invitees Special Children and their parents of CLAPS a Community Living Association of Parents of Special Citizens which is closely associated with Sai Samarpan.

The Flag hoisting was done by Special Child Ms.Gayathri Bhaskar who had also her birthday falling on this Day. Sweets were distributed to all by the Sai Samarpan Trustees and a sumptuous breakfast was arranged for all by the CLAPS Association Parents who had assembled for the Celebration.
 

Visit by DDAWO Kancheepuram 12th June 2019

Shri.Srinath District Differently Abled Welfare Officer Kancheepuram and Dr.S.Gnana Rathna Raju  Communication Disorder Professional from DDAW Office Kancheepuram  had visited the Centre on 12th June 2019, , interacted with the trainees ,had an overview of the vocational facilities provided at the Centre for the Special children.

Visit by Pathanjali Yoga Ladies Group 30th May 2019

Nearly 6 ladies from Pathanjali Yoga Group led by Madam Subhashini ,two with their spouses visited Sai Samarpan Vocational Training Centre interacted with the trainees and also arranged for a special lunch for the trainees and staff on 30th May 2019. The children enjoyed their visit, honoured them with their malas and also entertained them with their songs.

Psychiatric Consultation Camp 5th May 2019

The third Psychiatric Consultation Camp was conducted by Sai Ganesh Foundation at Sai Samarpan premises for the special children of Sai Samarpan and also other parents/special children who were interested in availing the services provided by the Trust. Nearly 25 children’ parents could benefit from the camp. The camp was conducted by Dr.C.J.Maikandaan MD and Senior Neuro Psychiatrist also our Trustee alongwith his colleague MD. The consultations started at 10 am and went upto 1.30 pm followed by lunch arranged for all the children and invitees by Sai Ganesh Foundation.

AUTISM DAY CELEBRATION – FIELD TRIP

The International Autism Day was celebrated at Sai Samarpan on the 3rd of April 2019 by taking the special children trainess on a field trip to a coconut farm at Kancheepuram. An AC Van was hired the children were picked up around 9 am and were taken to the Coconut farm at Domel near Kancheepuram. Snacs and lunch were arranged by the Trust. The children had their fill of coconut water in the farm enjoyed music and dance together and had good fun.  It was a good get together and fostered social behaviour among them. One special parent also accomapanied alongwith Sai Samarpan Staff and two trustees.
